Here at PHS we have 2 different Color Guards: a Fall Color Guard that performs with the Marching Band, and a Winter Guard that begins when the competitive Marching Band season ends. Fall Color Guard is open to all students at PHS, and Winter Guard is open to all PHS students and feeder MS students (including band students should they choose to audition). Students involved in the Fall Guard will audition through Spring Training in May and will be involved from May-November. Students involved in Winter Guard will audition once the competitive Marching Band season and their season will go from November-April. Like Winter Percussion, Winter Guard will learn approximately a five minute show that will compete in the Carolina Winter Ensembles Association (CWEA) and Winter Guard International (WGI) circuits. This ensemble is open to PHS students and students from the feeder middle schools to PHS through audition and/or placement . All Color Guard activities rehearse after school only!
