VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
PIT CREWS
The Pit Crew plays a vital role in supporting the marching band and color guard by assisting with the transportation of instruments, equipment, and performance materials to and from the field. Volunteers help ensure everything is safely moved, organized, and ready for performances and competitions.

CHAPERONES
Chaperones accompany students on buses to performances, competitions, and other events. They help maintain a safe and positive environment by monitoring student conduct, providing supervision, and assisting students with their needs throughout the event.

PROP BUILDERS
Prop Builders support the visual performance of the marching band and color guard by designing, constructing, repairing, and maintaining performance props. This volunteer opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on projects, woodworking, painting, or creative design.

BOOSTER BOARD
The Booster Board provides leadership and organizational support for the band program by planning, coordinating, and overseeing fundraising efforts, events, volunteer activities, and other initiatives that enhance the student experience. Board members serve in various elected and appointed leadership roles throughout the year.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
The Fundraising Committee helps generate financial support for the band program through a variety of fundraising initiatives, including product sales, special events, sponsorships, and community partnerships. Parent and community involvement is essential to the success of these efforts and helps provide valuable resources for students.

TRUCK DRIVERS
Volunteer Truck Drivers play a critical role in ensuring the band has everything needed for rehearsals, performances, competitions, and special events. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting instruments, uniforms, props, sound equipment, and other essential materials to and from each venue.

As you've seen, many volunteer opportunities help keep the band program running smoothly. Whether you have a few hours to give or can commit to a larger role, every contribution makes a meaningful difference.
Depending on the event and the volunteer role you choose, some band activities may begin early in the morning and continue into the evening. While the time commitment can be significant, the rewards are immeasurable.
As a band parent, you'll have a front-row seat to students' growth in confidence, discipline, leadership, teamwork, and musical excellence. You'll celebrate their achievements, share memorable experiences with other families, and become part of a supportive community dedicated to helping every student succeed.
